Guest Speaker

Victor M. Sweeney

Victor M. Sweeney is a small town undertaker who usually prefers to be found at the back of a crowd while a funeral is taking place. Despite this, he has appeared on the History Channel & CNBC, been featured in various news stories and podcasts, and has captured over 50 Million views on Youtube answering questions about his peculiar skillset.

"The Internet's Favorite Mortician" is the author of a soon-to-be released book, Now Departing: A Small Town Mortician on Life, Death, & the Moments in Between, published by Simon & Schuster in October of this year.

Living in Warren, Minnesota, Victor has served the surrounding area for the last decade with DuBore Funeral Home and assisted with funerals in this very church. His full time job requires attention to detail and compassion: two traits that set his firm apart as they handle the dead, but more importantly the living. His wife, Paige, and four children are Latin Rite Catholics, attending Mass in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Warsaw, North Dakota.

Preorder

Releasing in October, preorder your copy of Now Departing: A Small-Town Mortician on Death, Life, and the Moments in Between. In this unique and thoughtful collection, a young funeral director—also known as “the internet's favorite mortician” (CNBC)—explores various aspects of death, offering heartfelt and practical insights into how we determine what matters most while we are alive.
